PROJECT ONE
Part way into colourising this great view. of the Pacific Steam Navigation Company (PSNC) liner Reina Del Pacifico (Queen of the Pacific). Taken in Balboa where she appears to be coming in for dry docking. PSNC ships of this famous British line were a common site in the early days of the Canal Zone.
Established long before opening of the Panama Canal, to provide mail and cargo services on the West coast of South America PSNC had its own repair yard built on Taboga (12 miles off the coast of Panama City). The graves of former employees of that period can be still be found on El Morro island connected across a sand bar from Taboga.
PROJECT TWO
Colourising work and a little cosmetic treatment ongoing for a beautiful landscape view of the mighty HMS Hood taken at Pedro Miguel Locks. I've seen many views of her as during this 1924 Special Service Squadron transit, but this one is the best. It might lead to a different size of postcard to fully take in the landscape format.
